So this is my first blog. This is also the first time I've ever done something so colorful to my hair. I've dyed my hair before plenty of times. But this is the first for what I did this time. I bleached my hair and then dyed it 4 different colors. So here's how the adventure began...
Day 1: Bleaching
This is the color of my hair before I started.
I started with the Manic Panic Flash Lightning Volume 30. This worked awesome on my roots, but not so awesome everywhere else. I mistakenly listened to the package and did not use all the developer cream since it said it was not always needed. I mixed til it was smooth and creamy. That was a mistake. I ran very short on this stuff when I got to the end of my hair. Shane was a great sport about it and helped me out with the back of my hair since I couldn't see what I was doing. This is how it turned out.
My roots looked great, and the rest of it was still brown/orange.
So this is when we made a run to the store at midnight with my hair looking like this to my more bleach stuff. I knew Wal-Mart didn't have Manic Panic so I was going to get whatever they had. Turns out they had no bleach kits. The closest thing to it was a dye that said "Bleach Blonde Hair" So that's the one I got.
It turned out a lot better. My roots were still lighter than the rest of my hair, but this will still work. Shane helped me do this. I'm so glad he did, It would have come out so bad if I had done it by myself.
So that was the end of day one, I let my hair dry and went to sleep.
Day 2: The Color
I used Purple Haze, Ultra Violet (Which turned out to be more blue than purple), Hot Hot Pink, and Cotton Candy Pink.
My sister did this part for me. This was very messy. I separated my hair into 16 sections. We started with one color (lightest to darkest) and did 4 sections of hair for each color. After each section we wrapped it in plastic wrap. Once they were all done (the plastic wrap fell out of a few strands), I put a bag over it all to hold them all together. Then I let that sit for one hour while I worked on a project for work. :p
After washing my hair and using A LOT of conditioner, I decided to try out the curl formers. I put a little bit of mouse on my hair while it was still wet.
My hair is so thin that by the time I got half way through my hair with curl formers, it was drying already, so the curls at the bottom ended up being a much more relaxed than the rest of it.
And the results...
