Candy Cane Reindeer!

I make these candy cane reindeer every Christmas. This year Shane and I decided to make some stockings for our teams at work, and the candy cane reindeer would go in them (Along with some chocolate candies, and some cake pops that we ordered from Popalicious Creations.

So here is how you make the candy cane reindeer.

Items you will need:
- Candy Canes
- Pipe Cleaners
- Puff Balls
- Googley Eyes
- Hot Glue Gun
- Pen or Pencil
- Ribbon (Optional)
- Bells (Optional)

The Ribbon and Bells I didn't do until this year.
That was Shanes idea and it turned out awesome.
In this picture there are the little puff balls that are used for the noses, pipe cleaners, and some bells already strung with the ribbon.

First we start with the Candy Cane.

Then take a pipe cleaner and fold it in half at the top of the candy cane.

Then twist the pipe cleaner twice to secure it.

This is where you use a pen or pencil. I prefer a pen with a cap, that way you can secure the end of the pipe cleaner between the pen and cap, and twist the pipe cleaner around the pen to make a spiral.

Once you've done this with both sides, take the bell that you have strung on the ribbon and tie it where the neck would be.

Then put some hot glue on the back of the ribbon where you tied it, and on the back of the pipe cleaner to secure them in place.

Next is the eyes. You can use any size you want, and hot glue the eyes to the front.

Now the nose, hot glue the puffy nose on the tip of the candy cane.

Your reindeer is now complete. I made a large variety of these for work, and I also made one for each of us at home that went on our tree.

As you can see I used different size eyes for these.

Here they are in the stockings at work ready to be handed out. There are chocolates inside, and also snowman cake pops from Popalicious Creations that were delicious!!!.

And the recipients loved them.

Here are the ones I made for the family.

This one is Eriks Reindeer.

Averys Reindeer.

Aleezas Reindeer.

My Reindeer.

Shanes Reindeer.

They make great tree decorations too.

I hope you enjoyed the reindeer tutorial and pictures. Also, if you're interested in ordering any cake pops from Popalicious Creations, Andrea is located in Pleasanton, TX.
Tell her Tiffany sent you :)

Enjoy!
